Lemon Echinacea Throat Coat provides a protective coating on the membranes that line your throat.* Licorice and marshmallow are demulcents¸ which soothe irritated mucous membranes.* Marshmallow is traditionally used for irritation of the mouth and throat and associated dry cough¸ and echinacea root is traditionally used for the relief of sore throat.* How does it taste? It’s sweet¸ lemony and viscous (which allows the herbs to coat your throat)¸ with a characteristic tingle on your tongue from the alkylamides in echinacea¸ which is one of the important indicators of herb quality.

Brewing: For maximum benefit, medicinal tea must be properly prepared. Pour 8 oz. freshly boiled water over a tea bag in a cup. Cover cup and steep 10-15 minutes. These steps directly influence the amount of beneficial components that will end up in your teacup! Gently squeeze the tea bag to release the remaining extract.

Drink 3 or more cups daily or as needed. Gargle before swallowing for maximum effect. To enhance benefits, add honey, especially in dry climates.

For an extra strength brew, use two teabags or brew up a whole pot using four or five teabags.

Do not use if you have known allergies to plants of the Asteraceae (daisy) family such as calendula, chamomile, echinacea, safflower or yarrow.
